Dr. Shuan Dai is a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist in the Dept. of Ophthalmology at Starship Children’s Hospital & Auckland City Hospital, University of Auckland, New Zealand. ? He is specialized in Paediatric Ophthalmology & Adult Strabismus and chairs the New Zealand Pediatric Ophthalmology Special Interest Group. He is an active fellow of Royal Australia & New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, where he serves as the chair for the Course/Symposium on the Scientific Program Committee. He is a member of American Association of Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus and member of Asian Pacific Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Society. He is the Fellowship director for Paediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus, University of Auckland and the fellowship program attracts fellows from UK, Canada, USA & the Asia Pacific regions. Besides busy clinic practices he is actively involved in clinical research and teaching in pediatric eye diseases & strabismus. He is a supervisor of PhD students and MD student in the Dept. Of Ophthalmology, University of Auckland. He holds more than 2 million dollars’ research grant. His research interests include Retinopathy of prematurity(ROP), ROP telemedicine & pediatric low vision & strabismus surgery. He authored over 40 peer reviewed publications and presented at over 60 conference internationally & nationally as keynote speaker, invited speaker & speaker.
