Dr. HU Xiaoqing is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, and a Principal Investigator in the State Key Laboratory of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Hong Kong. He obtained his Ph.D. in Brain, Behavior and Cognition (2014) from Department of Psychology, Northwestern University, and he was a Post-doc Research Fellow at the Department of Psychology, University of Texas at Austin (2014-2016). His research focuses on the relationship between sleep, memory, emotion and social decision making, and how to modulate memories during sleep. He has published over 30 peer-review research papers in Science, Psychological Bulletin, Psychological Science, Journal of Sleep Research, etc.
